Located in Upper East Side, New York City, the Museum of Korean Art will exhibit the benefactor’s decades of Korean Art collections.

The building was last renovated around 1950 for the New Academy School. Studio spaces with north facing skylights with minimal columns in the rooms. While taking the advantage of the existing condition, the proposal minimizes structural modifications. The Porcelain pieces, less sensitive to UV light, are located at the second floor. Furniture and drawings are located at first floor where there is no skylight, and the lecture hall is located at the basement separated from the exhibition spaces.
