Sangmin You is a highly accomplished architect with nearly two decades of experience shaping skylines in New York City and internationally. Since 2022, he has served as Principal at H Architecture, bringing deep expertise from senior design and leadership roles at globally renowned firms, including Richard Meier & Partners Architects (Meier Architects) and Diller Scofidio + Renfro (DS+R).

At H Architecture, Sangmin leads a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects, including a 55-story mixed-use high-rise in Lower Manhattan, the Art Gallery, "Space: Zero One" in Tribeca, a 55,000 sq. ft. virtual digital museum, "Arte Museum NY" at Chelsea Piers, and the award-winning “Convergence Special Video Content Cluster” in Daejeon, Korea. He also actively participates in prestigious international design competitions.

His work demonstrates mastery of both design vision and technical execution. At DS+R, Sangmin oversaw construction documentation and administration for landmark projects such as Microsoft’s East Campus “Square Building” in Seattle and the 130,000 sq. ft. "Google NYC Campus" at Pier 57. During more than 13 years at Richard Meier & Partners (Meier Architects), he served as Senior Designer, Project Architect, and Project Manager on signature works, including "685 First Avenue", a 42-story residential tower adjacent to the UN Headquarters, and the "JEI Gangnam Commercial Building" in Seoul. His contributions also extend to numerous award-winning residences globally, including his signature projects, the "Oxfordshire Residence" (Oxfordshire, England, UK) and the "Flying Point Residence" (Southampton, NY).

Sangmin earned his professional master’s degree in Architecture from Columbia University in the city of New York, where he received the "Lucille Smyser Lowenfish Memorial Prize". He is a Registered Architect in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and Hawaii, a proud member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) since 2009, reflecting his commitment to sustainable and innovative design.
