The design proposal for the new bus terminal meticulously balances feasibility with strategic public outreach, aiming to foster a highly promising Social Overhead Capital (SOC) development, seamlessly integrated with a substantial commercial and hospitality complex. At its core, the design endeavors to establish a "New Daily Life Attraction" that simultaneously redevelops the future bus terminal. This concept directly addresses evolving travel trends, prioritizing an enhanced and convenient experience for travelers. Furthermore, the project is envisioned to cultivate an iconic cultural and commercial environment, intimately engaging both patrons and the surrounding community, transforming it into a unique waterfront destination along the Han River. Recognizing this as an exceptional opportunity for waterfront development adjacent to a vital public asset, the design innovatively introduces the concept of a "Vertical Waterfront." This approach is conceived to significantly elevate the site's inherent value while actively promoting and expanding shared riverside experiences for the public. From a pragmatic perspective, every architectural element has been thoughtfully developed. This includes a robust spatial network that intricately links the various programmatic components, a highly efficient circulation system enhanced by engaging visual narratives, and ultimately, an iconic building configuration designed to powerfully symbolize its role as a pivotal transit-hub in the northeastern sector of Seoul.
